Daryl, what a way to round off uh the weekend, the P4 for you, but it's been an interesting roller coaster weekend here at Brands, hasn't it?
SPEAKER_00It has. It's um I was quite happy yesterday with the front row um you know front row finish position P2 behind Ash and um really happy with the car and and the pace and was super confident this morning going into race one. I um you know was gonna get a good launch, get the inside and hopefully win the win race one. But then when we sat on the grid it rained and our car in the greasier conditions is really difficult to drive. Um so really struggling on traction, um uh front locking as well. So that put me back a bit in race one, um, but we still managed to finish uh I forgot now, but but to be honest I had a good oh 11th, that's what it was. So 10th, but then uh penalty to finish 11th for some earlier contact. Race two um was on the medium tire, so we were at a disadvantage there. Same story, rained but worse, so it's it actually got wet then instead of instead of drying up, and that was pretty pretty happy with that. We finished 10th on the road, but on medium tyres on a on a wet track where we're struggling for locking, and then every every time I pulled the gear on wheel spinning, down aquaplane down the straights, and even even like trying to deploy TTB as well. So it was a very difficult race with cars going everywhere, but we managed to keep it on the road and finish 10th, which I was happy about. Unfortunately, didn't get pulled for the reverse grid draw. I know I'm going on, but I'm just I'm just uh explaining how my day's gone. Um lined up temp for race three, and then we were on the soft tyre and we made some good overtakes and managed to finish fourth. I'm a bit gutted that I'm not leaving the weekend with some silverware, but to be honest, the I my engineer said to me the way that I've driven this weekend, he's he's quite pleased, and uh although I'm not walking away with this weekend holding some silverware in my hand, I'm quite happy with how I've driven and and considering it's been such a hectic day.
SPEAKER_01That's good comments though, uh, from from your engineer, isn't it? Because I I've seen a feisty, a more feisty driver in you this weekend.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I I've been trying to race a bit harder to be honest, um, because this championship's super close, and if you leave the door open or you're not aggressive or you just get swallowed up, I think Yeah, I I always race hard but fair. I I I won't intentionally you know put tap tap and go someone or whatever or or you know try and gain an unfair advantage. If I if I do anything it'll be hard, but in in my books fair, so I'm not I'm not a malicious driver. So that's and that's the way we've always we've always done it.
SPEAKER_01Good weekend, and we now look forward to uh Snatterton, but a great way to round off Brand Tadge. Well done.
SPEAKER_00I didn't really give you a chance to talk, but thank you very much, mate.
SPEAKER_01Appreciate the interview.
SPEAKER_00Good to talk to you, Darrell. Thank you. Thank you.
