Well Ricky, um I've gotta say I was slightly surprised by my FP one. Were were things not going as you expected or were you were you being sneaky and showboating?

Er I was quite far down. Yeah. Yeah, no, uh definitely wasn't showboating that far down, no. It's um everyone forgets I haven't driven a car at round a circuit for like years, so in all fairness we've always been a little bit steady and uh in free practice ball and then we just build our weekend, so I'm not really that that bothers.

And it's really warm here, uh track temperatures high, which is gonna have a big impact uh on uh tyre strategy this weekend, isn't it?

Yeah it's not um coming out of GTs they come back into British touring cars. I don't think people realise how physical this is. It's definitely more physical like than any other motorsport that I've done. Um and I think I've done obviously everything in Formula 3 and GTs, and I would say this is more physical than than anything just because the sheer heat inside the car, and we've got to do that three times on Sunday, and I've still got another two more sessions to go today, so yeah, it's very physical.

Tires come to you a lot quicker when the tracks hot, but equally they tend to degrade a lot quicker as well, don't they?

Yeah, I think um I haven't got very much experience, so obviously I've only done a few races on these tyres and I'm still learning, so that's why I have to just sit and work. I think I have to work harder than everybody else because they've got a bank of experience and a bank of knowledge. My teammates been in this championship for both of them, must be for near on 10 years or over 10 years, I'm sure. So I haven't got 10 years worth of experience, but they have, so I just have to try and extract out of them.

You had uh a barnstorming, well, it certainly was barnstorming to watch uh brands hatch, didn't you? I mean the momentum from that uh must be bringing you to Snatterton with a good feeling.

Yeah, obviously we went up to second then dropped down to fourth, and we're in a in a really good position. I just feel at home with everything, but we still have our needles and look, we're we're racers, so even if we don't qualify that well with this reduced boost allocation, I'm sure we'll race fine.
