Well Dan that's uh qualifying uh race two pole. Uh Dan, P4 for you. Um happy with that?
SPEAKER_00Um relatively happy. I I've made a decent start and in the car initially was not not too bad. Um obviously kind of straight into a safety car, but I felt like that we were at times sort of right there where we needed to be in the fight, and then um daily after the safety car uh Ash made a move and got me, which was which is fine, but um just ran into chronic understar really. I don't think that's unusual down here. I think I kind of expected it. Um went into the race knowing that I think we were gonna be weaker um just because of what we learnt of the sun break and maybe what we learnt coming here and where the car is today. Um there's a lot to kind of learn in the short space of time, and we didn't probably make we didn't make many big changes for qualifying, and that was probably the right call because we qualified third, and now we get to that fourth. So there's no right or wrong, um, but what we get to do now is we know that the car is not where it needs to be, it needs a big shift in the right direction, um, and now we can do that overnight. We couldn't have done that obviously qualifying to race one. So um I fully expect you know it was a sensible race, it's good, it's points. I get to start at the front tomorrow, and we've learned what I expected we'd learn is that we need um a lot more front end and a lot looser rear end, which is completely what I could have told you before we started. So uh now we've proven that the engineers and the guys and everyone put their heads together and we'll put it down in the morning in a different place.
SPEAKER_01I was looking back at some past results, and and you've tended to get your bad luck out of the way in the first half of the season, hasn't you? So I mean this points in the right direction for the second half of this season. Yeah, yeah, potentially.
SPEAKER_00I I don't know why we we struggled to get off to a start. Uh the champion you know the years I've been doing it, I've always wanted to get off to a good start because I know how important it is, and I don't think I've really succeeded. Um I think a few years ago I I did once. I got I think I won actually at Donington two races the first round first round of the season. Um but yeah, it is we we do seem to miss a trick getting off to a start, and then we sort of hit a rhythm and hit her and off we go. Um why that is I don't know. Uh whether it's me combination, the team, combin I don't I don't know what that causes that. I just got a bit of general bad luck. I don't know. But yeah, right now, uh coming off the back of a better weekend at Alton, um into this one at the moment. We look sensible, um, but only sensible. You know, we need a little bit more speed if we're gonna compete for a podium this weekend. But that's that's what we've got to try and figure out overnight. Good start to the weekend, I damn well done.
