Well Tom, what a way to round off what's been an eventful Thruxton. It's been it's been noisy. Um yeah, we've been noisy this weekend, so I didn't really want to be. Uh yeah, obviously issues in every single race I think with um various dramas or caught up in chaos or on my own cock-ups. It's been um yeah, it's been it's been a fairly a fairly trying weekend, I think.

How difficult was it to come into that that second race with what's gone on in the two previous two races?

Yeah, super hard. I sort of felt a little bit flattened coming into that race if I'm honest. Um I've sort of felt like the wind had been blown, blown from from uh from beneath me awesome. Out my sails a little bit. So it's um yeah, fairly fairly fairly tricky to sort of knuckle down and try and get something out of it. The saving grace is Team Virtue always gave me a fantastic car. So um Spencer and and and you know Woody and and and everybody has worked so hard this weekend. We weren't quite where we wanted to be after free practice one. We've ended up with a car that's felt probably the best car I've had at Throxton. Um so from where we started the weekend to where we finished, I think we've um I think we've we've made good progress.

Knowing that you've got the pace in the car, what happened in in races one and two must have been very frustrating because you put in it was over five seconds, I think, at the end of race three, wasn't it?

Yeah, well with this nonsense that's gone on at the start, uh there was obviously this over sort of this five-second penalty looming over us. So when Spence said you need to try and get five seconds, oh Jesus, over Ash as well, it's gonna be fairly, fairly hard. Um so I think Spencer was lying to me for for certainly the last last lap of the race, saying the gap was different to what it actually was. So he's uh I think he was trying to make me push all the way to the end.

Um we talked throughout the season about how important it is to get the points in the bag, and you say, look, you focus on your own race all the time and not what when anybody else is doing, but it's been important to get those points this weekend.

Yep, um I think it was um it was just a case of having to having to sort of put the hard yards in today because as I say, we've um yeah, it it I I've I've I've struggled a little bit with it this this weekend to sort of try and make sure that we've been we've been good, especially after that first race. And then again after that second race, um I did feel fairly flat. So I'm I'm pleased that we've been able to get get something out of it. We'll get out of this weekend, um, see it as hopefully a a a bit of a learning weekend and uh and come back stronger at the next race. Great drive, Tom Welven. Thanks guys, thank you.
