It was uh yeah, I mean with with my my first start was well the the the green light start was was mega and I was away and then the safety car came out so we had to sort of manage that. Um and on under the safety car I'm trying to pick my spot where I want to go under the in the go boards and timed it quite right, got a good leap on uh on Gordon, and then yeah the rain came. So it was just a case of trying to manage you know the curb strikes and just saying you know the curbs are gonna get greasy. Think about your braking into the hairpin in turn one, you know, adjust your bias. Um so there was a lot going on, but I felt I felt quite comfortable. You know, I felt relatively comfortable once I got the gap to Gordon. Uh I think he was a bit braver on me on the brakes into the hairpin, but overall I think we had the pace. So we're just you know so happy for um for cat clean plateau racing, P1, P3. It's uh a really good day.

The start of the day in free practice, you looked like you had the speed and the ability in the in the car. I mean that must have been a good pointer for you. Straight away, yeah.

I mean uh I've just been saying to everyone here, it's like we we came here and you're always optimistic, you're always optimistic, but in the back of your mind you're thinking, this car I don't know how well this is going to go around here. It's not really suited to an up, down, curb-hopping track. But uh actually we've come here and it's straight out of the box, it's been fantastic. So I felt incredibly comfortable hitting curbs and and and the car's doing what I want it to do. It's stopping well, it's rotating, it's it's nice and compliant over the curbs, good landing.

So, yeah, I felt confident straight from the off. You've found a new home at Cataclean Plato Racing. You've been with a number of other teams over the last two or three years. You've continued to work hard, and I know how hard you've been working at this. I've put two kilos on since it's well that's the bit you need to focus on now. But in terms of on-track performance, I mean this I the look on your dad's face, amazing. The team are so pleased.

Yeah, no, it's it's mega. We've we've been, like I said, it's just been a long time, you know, since I've been on the podium. I I know I can do it, I know I can still fight at the front. And um yeah, you need a few little things to fall into place, and it has this weekend. And once I got on the fronts, I I you know we we capitalised and we brought it home. So uh yeah, very happy. I think you should be proud of that one.
