Damn feed practice out the way. Next obviously the race to pole, but how are you feeling after that practice session?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, not too bad. It was uh you know kind of early days, you're just getting a bit of a feel for it. Um I think the tracks a little bit in and out. I've just been chatting to uh a fellow competitor sort of had a similar thing, like one lap you feel like alright, and next lap you have a wildly different experience. And I don't know whether that's just um a little bit of dirt on the circuit or or what's or what, but um it's a little bit inconsistent out there, which is quite hard as a driver to kind of dial your head into. But I think in terms of what we've package we've got, I think we'll be sensible. You know, are we going to be ultimately the fastest thing? Uh I don't know. Um there's a lot of guys with a lot more button boost than we've got currently, but um you know there's it's a long weekend, and I think if we knuckle down and get the car dialed in, there's no reason why the points won't come back to us later on. So yeah, I think the plan is just to wring its neck and see what comes. Um but I feel like we can we can get into a good place with the car.
SPEAKER_01That's interesting you say about the circuit.
SPEAKER_00I mean it might be really simplistic, but it's been so hot recently, and then we've had a bit of rain, so I don't know, I'm I'm no track expert, but I think I think um on the track wall we could clearly see that they've put quite a lot of sort of topsoil behind some of the curbs, and um the problem with touring cars is that we tend to drive behind the back of the curves quite often, and I think we're just dragging on dirt, um, and then the car behind has to drive through it. So I think one lap it's can be quite clean and clear, and the next lap it's feels like you're driving through uh through dirt again, which is obviously um difficult. So um yeah, we'll see what uh see what it comes. Hopefully, um hopefully we can do a better job when it's when it matters.
SPEAKER_01I mean, touring cars keep you on your toes. You had Nockhill, which is a very different circuit to this one, isn't it?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I feel like this is the first time we've been back in a little while to like what is a conventional sort of racing circuit. You know, you've got a fruxton, which is a great track, but it's super high speed and so different to anywhere else we go. Then we got a knockhill again, totally great circuit, but totally different to any other one. It's like it's quite a unique thing.
SPEAKER_01We've got to have time to do anything, do you?
SPEAKER_00No, and we hit curbs and fly through the air, and it's all very kind of like happening at once. Um Fruxton's just hold on and take a deep breath and you know, brave pill. And then now here it's like right, we're back to proper racing circuit, hit your marks, technical, the car needs to be good. Like now we can actually sort of try a few of the bits that maybe we're trying like the summer test and stuff. So yeah, let's say good luck for later.
SPEAKER_01Thank you.
