Dan huge congratulations. You said to me uh after free practice this morning you were really happy with the car, you knew the the speed was there, and and you've proved that uh in in you know in that uh race to poll by taking second place and and earning it.
SPEAKER_00
Yeah, no, well earned. I think um I thought it I think it's been a really good day. I thought our qualifying performance was absolutely top-notch. I think our race was top-notch. I I really feel like we've executed, and that's all you can ask for. Um as a driver, you know, I've always thought that you can get out in any position. The position's kind of secondary as long as you can you know say that you've done their absolute best and given you everything and and also not made any mistakes. And I think that's um I can safely say today, uh, you know, the rare, but today I can say I think I've given it a really good performance. Um I've maximised every opportunity, and that was it. You know, I think P2 is a great effort, considering the disparity to Josh on the uh in the boost. Um there's no doubt that we were outgunned, but you know, through the corners and over the scores of the lap, we got a very quick car. Um my two main rivals, or at least my one main rival, was behind me. You know, Adam Morgan, obviously who had such a good runner now, isn't a million miles behind, um also behind me. So in my book, that's a great day.

A good way to start the weekend though, isn't it? It gives you that that momentum and that that extra tense that comes from somewhere. And we'll say that give you back.
SPEAKER_00
I think it does, yeah. I think the thing is it's it's I'm not sure any of us, I mean, certainly me. It still feels weird racing on a Saturday afternoon. It's like the weekend hasn't even got it's like too early in the weekend, really. It doesn't feel like it's really got started yet. You know, I actually only arrived like last night at 11 o'clock. I was at a wedding yesterday, so I feel like I'm I mean I may have to do that more often, just skip Fridays. Um, it just feels a bit sudden, I think, the racing on a on a Saturday now. It's it feels like it's come around really quick. The one practice I think is what does that. You know, you've you're only in the car once and it's like, right, we're going qualifying. Um which I think really benefits you know, those of us got a lot of experience and and the bigger teams as well that maybe can share a lot of good data. I don't know what we'll do next year. I I think a second practice um is missed because I think there's opportunity there to try different things with the car that none of us ever get to try. We're all locked into a setup very early on. Um, yeah, it's strange. And I think it's it's you know, not that I've thought that I've turned this into that, but I do think the gap between the quality, actual quality and the quality race could be a bit bigger. You know, I don't yeah, I don't know why it has to be such a short turnaround. To me, we could we've got so much time on our dams in a day. I mean, we don't do anything until half past ten now. Um you know, I think I think we could spread it out a bit more, take the cars back, make sure they're ready to go, come out an hour later. I think that'd be I think that'd be better. But um that's not my decision. Anyway, back to me. Uh have had a good day. Thank you.
